Our Story

Our History

Wild West Candle Co. was founded by Jessica Clowers in 2020. For years, Jessica's favorite hobbies have been making candles at home in her kitchen, and exploring new adventures in the wild west. Candle-making became a hobby after she discovered her dog was having an allergic reaction to the candles to the store bought candles she had been burning. With lots of research, and plenty of experimenting, Jessica mastered the art of creating candles she could enjoy without harming her dog. In 2017, Jessica retired from the mortgage industry to pursue her dream 

becoming a small business owner, and opened an Etsy shop under the name 'Psyche Awakening' to share her excess creations with the online community.

The Wild West Candle Cabin was built in 2020, and is the families largest structural work of art. The cabin was designed by Jessica, and built by her husband Will. The space is filled with inspirational wall art, including decorative wood cabinets that have been burned by hand. Jessica gets her inspiration from a variety of sources; including music, books, magazines, movies, extreme adventures, meditation, dreams, (good) wine, new conversations, new experiences, and her "wild" imagination.

Our Products

Our candles are made in small batches, and hand-poured to perfection for guaranteed quality and satisfaction. Made with all natural soy wax, and infused with natural essential oils and fragrance oils, our candles capture the authentic aromas of the southwest and release them into your personal space. We use dried organic herbs in our herbal soy candles, some of which are grown on site. We use clean scents in every product, creating a clean-burning and allergy-friendly aromatherapy experience. Our products are phthalate-free, dye-free, and do not contain any toxins, carcinogens, or harmful chemicals.
